Kayunga regional referral hospital through its governing board has donated 20 mattresses to Buvuma Health Center IV to support improvement of service delivery particularly in the maternity ward.
The mattresses were handed over to the Buvuma Chief Administrative Officer by the Board Chairperson- Dr. Mpooya Simon at Kayunga Regional Referral Hospital on 30th January 2026 in the presence of the Hospital Administrator and the Buvuma Health Center IV incharge.
This followed a promise made by the board after its visit to the Buvuma Health Centre IV on 12th December 2024 too support the facility.
While handing over the items at Kayunga Regional referral Hospital, the Board Chairperson- Dr. Mpooya Simon noted that the board found it necessary to extend its corporate social responsibility to Buvuma after finding out that there was need especially in the wards.
The Buvuma Chief Administrative Officer- Hajji Mbooge Isa appretaited the support and said it is timely. He is optimistic that the mattresses will make a difference.
